Credit Education Services Australia Pty Ltd (CESA) was established to assist the finance sector meet its National Consumer Credit Protection (NCCP) Act core competency and responsible manager training obligations. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of CreditWise Pty Ltd, an incorporated legal practice.
Training in credit related legislation is now an important compliance and risk management issue for everyone in the finance sector. Our expertise in finance regulation and consumer protection has led to the development of induction and refresher training that provides a cost-effective solution.
Our training modules are developed by a team that brings together legal, operational and consumer perspectives in the finance sector. They are under constant refinement as the regulatory environment evolves. This ensures all modules are accurate both in their explanation of the law and its application.
Our clients include motor dealers, introducers, brokers, lenders, debt collectors and consumer advocates who want short, online training to help their representatives understand the legislative environment in which they work.
Our training assists Australian Credit Licence holders meet their competency obligations. It leads to a stronger compliance culture and a better appreciation of operational policies and procedures.
It does not, however, lead to a formal qualification.
Kate Keating – Director
Kate Keating, CESA’s director, is an accredited workplace assessor and trainer who provides training services to financiers, debt collectors, regulators and the community sector.
Kate delivers these services through in-house and public workshops, video conferences, training manuals and through online training.
Kate is committed to incorporating the operational perspective as much as possible so the legislation makes sense in the work context.
CreditWise Pty Ltd
provides legal and compliance services to the finance sector, including introducers, brokers, lenders and debt collectors. It also reviews and approves all CESA’s training modules and assessments.
Steve Edwards, a CreditWise director, is well respected for his credit legislation knowledge, both from technical and operational perspectives. His involvement in the development and approval of the training ensures it is accurate, robust and relevant.

The Australian Finance Conference (AFC) (www.afc.asn.au) endorses our online training available as a means of assisting its Members meet the high standards of regulatory compliance demanded by the NCCP Act and their customers.
The AFC is Australia’s national finance industry association. Its membership comprises a significant range of consumer and commercial lenders, as well as service providers to the industry, such as debt collectors and purchasers, credit reporting agencies, legal and accounting advisors and providers of decisioning, information management and data verification services.
The AFC recognises the challenges its Members face in providing up-to-date compliance training to staff.
